Oman Cutlery is experienced in working with prestigious brands to develop OEM products with over 10 years of proven OEM experience to ensure quality standards.  50% of Oman production output is catered to OEM clients particularly in Europe, United States and Australia.

The R&D team produces kitchenware pieces for both design aesthetics, and functional use.  With a professional in-house team of 15 experienced engineers responsible for product design and mold development - the department uses the latest technology, research, and market information for concept design and development.

Various materials such as POM, TPE, Damascus, Pakka wood, and ceramic are used for design ideas and to build innovation into the everyday use of kitchen knives and accessories.  Oman only uses the finest quality stainless steel including MoV from Germany, and 420J2 from Japan.  In-house mold development and packaging also ensures smooth running of the production process and flow.

Quality control strictly adheres to strict international quality standards, including:
．European ISO8442-1 certificate - for hardness test, corrosion test, dishwasher test, pulling 　test, and falling test.
．IBS EN SO8442-1 certificate - materials and articles in contact with food preparation 　requirements.
．ISO 9001 and SGS quality certificates.

For legal purposes, Oman Cutlery Co Ltd is registered under “Aman International Group Co Ltd” in Taiwan, “Shanghai Oman Cutlery Co Ltd” in Shanghai, and “B-Man Manufacturing Co Ltd” in Zhejiang. Management and operations remain one entity.  Click here to see the history of company timeline.

R&D

The development processes is divided into four stages:  concept, planning, development, and manufacturing. Project Managers are assigned to track and control the smooth running of production process, with a turnaround time of 30 to 60 days for a new product to release.

CAD and CAM is utilised for ease of in-house design and to speed up the developing cycle and engineering amendment process.  The R&D department is equipped with 3D workstations to generate digital design data, and mock-up machines to produce physical product samples within hours.  Followed by the use of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and EDM (Electronic Discharge Machine) machines to develop molds for final production.
